Work

E*Trade Financial, 1999 to present

I'm in the very enviable position of having a day job that I truely enjoy.  I'm a Desktop Support Manager at E*TRADE FINANCIAL.  I have been with the company since 1999. I was living in Sacramento, CA when I joined the company, they moved me to New York City in January, 2001, and then to Northern Virginia  in 2006.

The job of a desktop support manager is provide second and third level technical support to computer end users and manage desktop support technicians.  I love interacting with people and problem solving so it's a really great fit for me.  I've also recently taken on the project of integrating Apple computers into our network.  I've always been a "Mac guy" and am very happy to see Macs getting more attention in the enterprise.  The opportunity to branch out of support and do a little engineering has been great.

Soft Focus Studio, 2002 to present

I also own and operate a small business, Soft Focus Studio.  I do primarily studio boudoir portraits and wedding photography.  Photography is something I love, it combines the creative and technical sides of my nature and allows me to meet a lot of people outside of work.  I started doing portraits professionally in 2002 in New York City.  I rented time in a small studio in Queens and had the opportunity to work with a number of very talented models and other photographers while honing my skills and personal style.
